Webinars offering farmers research-led guidance to boost grassland performance and efficiency
Farmers looking to get more from their grassland this spring can benefit from a new webinar series offering timely, research-led advice on improving grass utilisation, boosting fertiliser efficiency and supporting animal performance.
This free three-part series from the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) will bring together industry specialists, advisers and farmers to focus on improving grassland performance and farm profitability.
Webinar 1: How to make grassland deliver for you?
This webinar will explore practical ways to make grassland deliver more consistently across the season. The session will address how to manage growth variability and seasonality through agile grassland management and targeted species mixes. It will also look at reducing grassland costs by using legumes and more diverse swards, and how to adopt a whole-farm approach, making sure each field has the sward best suited to its soil and conditions.
Date: Wednesday 11 March 2026
Time: 8pm to 9pm
Webinar 2: Soil, why does it matter?
This webinar will focus on soil. This event will examine how soil analysis, nutrient planning and soil structure underpin productive grassland systems and drive fertiliser efficiency.
Date: Wednesday 18 March 2026
Time: 8pm to 9pm
Webinar 3: Where to invest to optimise grassland productivity?
This webinar will look at where targeted investment can deliver the greatest return – including fertiliser strategies, reseeding decisions and building resilient swards for future season.
