The Co-operatives as Policy Tools for Economic and Social Transformation conference, funded by Community Fund NI, aims to explore why co-operatives remain relatively limited in Northern Ireland and examine their potential as tools for economic and social development.
Speakers will share insights into international policy and legislative frameworks that support co-operative growth, including recent developments in the region. The programme will also consider the historical and contemporary impact of co-operatives, their defining characteristics, and how theoretical models translate into practice.
